PROJECT BACKGROUND 

With funding support from the EU’s Common Market Organization (Organizzazione Comune di Mercato), Fattoria Svetoni seized an opportunity to expand their marketing outreach to an American audience by hosting an Italian Christmas-inspired tasting event in a U.S. market of their choice. Fattoria Svetoni focused their efforts on West Texas, where their primary U.S. distribution hub, Zin Valle Vineyards, is located. 


OUR WORK

For this project, our event planning, marketing and brand ambassador skills were put to work in the following ways:

  • We creatively concepted the event’s theme and format to ensure the experience would deliver delight and value to the target audience while also providing the most ideal platform to showcase the wine.  

  • We carefully selected and coordinated all of the event vendors.

  • We planned every detail of the guest experience from the wine pairings to the decor and ambiance and parting gifts.

  • We designed and created all of the marketing materials for the event including invitations, social media promotions, event collateral and signage.  

  • We marketed the event using online invitation platforms and social media. 

  • We facilitated the event set-up and same-day run of show. 

  • We acted as brand co-hosts, welcoming guests, leading discussions and explaining pairings. 


THE EVENT

“Buon Natale!” was a private 5-course holiday wine dinner hosted by Zin Valle Vineyards for prospective restaurant and hospitality industry partners. Our goal was to showcase Fattoria Svetoni wine in an authentically festive way that would leave the guests eager to add this exceptional Italian wine to their businesses’ repertoire! 

We created a tasting experience that mirrored the warmth and sophistication of the Fattoria Svetoni brand by inviting guests to enjoy the magical Christmas season as Italians would, from beginning (Immacolata Concezione) to end (Epifania). Each of the five courses commemorated a significant celebration in the Italian Christmas calendar with a dish typically served during that celebration or the holiday season in general. The dishes were prepared by the talented Texas Culinary Institute using authentic Italian flavors and ingredients carefully paired with Fattoria Sventoi wines.

 
 

EVENT COLLATERAL

We created a guide for guests to refer to throughout the evening. It explained the wine and food pairings as well as the Italian holiday symbolism and traditions we’d thoughtfully paired with each course.

 

RESULTS

Guests enjoyed a delightful evening immersed in Italian Christmas flavors and traditions, remaining long past the dinner’s end enjoying wine and making product inquiries. They were floored by the impressiveness of the experience and the quality of the Fattoria Svetoni wines. The seeds of many business relationships for Zin Valle Vineyards and Fattoria Svetoni were successfully planted.
