FROM TUSCANY, WITH LOVE

 
 

PROJECT BACKGROUND 

With funding support from the EU’s Common Market Organization (Organizzazione Comune di Mercato), Fattoria Svetoni seized an opportunity to expand their marketing outreach to an American audience by hosting a Valentine’s Day-inspired tasting event in a U.S. market of their choice. Fattoria Svetoni focused their efforts on West Texas, where their primary U.S. distribution hub, Zin Valle Vineyards, is located. 


OUR WORK

For this project, our event planning, marketing and brand ambassador skills were put to work in the following ways:

  • We creatively concepted the event’s theme and format to ensure the experience would deliver delight and value to the target audience while also providing the most ideal platform to showcase the wine.  

  • We carefully selected and coordinated all of the event vendors.

  • We planned every detail of the guest experience from the wine pairings to the decor and ambiance.

  • We designed and created all of the marketing materials for the event including invitations, social media promotions, event collateral and signage.  

  • We marketed the event using online invitation platforms and social media. 

  • We facilitated the event set-up and same-day run of show. 

  • We acted as brand co-hosts, welcoming guests, leading discussions and explaining pairings. 


THE EVENT

In celebration of the friendship and passion that lies at the heart of the Fattoria Svetoni story and in the spirit of Valentine’s Weekend, the “From Tuscany, With Love” event hosted by Zin Valle Vineyards invited wine lovers and enthusiasts alike to spend an afternoon getting better acquainted with their Tuscan soulmate, Fattoria Svetoni.

For this event, we created an immersive food and wine tasting experience that helped guests fully appreciate the characteristics of the wine, their relationship with food and Fattoria Sventoni’s unique story of friendship. 

We began with a private VIP tasting for 30 local wine enthusiasts guided by Fattoria Svetoni owner Victor Poulos and A Land Beyond’s co-founder,  Lilia Alvarez Nevarez. While walking guests through the wine and food pairings, they discussed the friendship Victor shares with the other five Italian winery partners, and explained how Fattoria Svetoni was birthed out of their mutual passion for wine and Italian culture. 

For the public portion of the event, guests were taken on a tasting journey starting in the tasting room, where they were greeted with educational signage and photo displays that told the dynamic story behind Fattoria Svetoni wine. Then, they were guided into the barrel room to visit each of the three tasting stations featuring a Fattoria Svetoni wine paired with a Tuscan dish. Finally, guests made their way out to the patio to enjoy a glass of their favorite Fattoria Svetoni wine, more food and live music. 

 
 

EVENT COLLATERAL

We created a guide for guests to refer to as they moved through the experience. It explained the wine and food pairings as well as a proper wine tasting technique.

 


RESULTS

Zin Valle Vineyards experienced their single best performing day in their 17-year business history during their slowest month of the year. Since the event, their Fattoria Svetoni wine has seen a dramatic increase in customer demand.
